The Lagotto Romagnolo is a breed with deep historic roots dating back into as far back as the 1600s. The Lagotto is the only breed that is bred specifically for truffle hunting. It is one of Italy’s oldest known breeds. The sweet Italian breed in incredibly versatile, originally being bred for hunting companions, the Lagotto can do it all. They are amazing family companions and will create an extremely tight bond with their family. Ash and Willow are our two girls! Ash is extremely laid back, cuddly, and loving. She is now retired and is now playing a nanny role on the farm – she loves helping out with puppies whenever she can! Willow is our sweet, fun loving, lively girl! She is all spunk and full of personality. Both our girls are “talkers” and are more than happy to inform us when they need something! We cannot sit down anywhere in the house without our beautiful Lagottos right by our side. I recommend this breed for an active family, looking for a perfect sized hypoallergenic dog. Typically maxing out at 35 pounds, this breed is the perfect size for almost any home.
